As a person dedicated to community service and truly proud to call our city my home, I am excited to announce my candidacy to represent Ward 6 on the Jackson City Council. I enter this race recognizing the enormous challenges Jackson faces and the amount of hard work and dedication this office will require.

My experience working in the state legislature has left me with an unwavering belief that government can play a role in improving the quality of life for the people it serves. But considering the hard decisions we will soon face, it is time we push ourselves to rethink how local government can better accomplish that role. We can find more innovative, efficient and effective solutions to our problems – both short term and long term. We can do, it if we work together.

As a first-time homeowner, Jackson holds a special place in my heart. I’ve witnessed firsthand the sincerity of its people who welcomed me to the neighborhood and encouraged me to get involved in the community. Our people, our history and our hopes all come together to make Jackson a truly exceptional place.
